I had an elaborate introduction with references to my last post on Porter.  Unfortunately, my browser froze and now I’m too lazy to redo it.  Luckily I had saved the convo on textedit (in retrospect I should have written everything on textedit and I probably could have saved it UGH). Anyway, he blew up shortly after rising up the Beatport charts making #1 on electro house.

His production tool of choice; FL Studio aka FruityLoops.  He’s known to lock himself indoors and produce all day.  However, not many know that prior to his tour, he never really used turntables. WTF?! BUT, with the help of his friends and awesome djs Pance Party, he got up to speed in no time!

All in all, he’s a normal 18 year old kid, still trying to fit in school, time with friends and live a normal life while touring the country, being surrounded by fans and media and being respected by many big time djs, including one of the best in the business, Paul Van Dyk.

d: what’s your favorite video game?

p: My favorite videogame… that’s a close one. It’s between Soul Calibur IV and Age of Empires 3. I don’t have much time for games anymore since the whole production/deejaying thing blew up, but if I ever get a chance, it’s one of those two games.

d: what’s your favorite cartoon?

p: Definitely Pendleton Ward’s “Adventure Time”. That show transcends children’s television. It’s so modern and so funny. It’s getting enormous attention and it deserves even more.

p: Hell yeah dude. that’s sick

d: yea man. i’ve been following that shit forever. didn’t know you’re into that random shit.

p: tim and eric, flapjack, adventure time.. i remember watching the old old old original adventure time episode shit was on point.

p: Drunken fist, no question. Anyone who would try to fight by intentionally making themselves crunk and retarded is okay in my book.

d: how far have you counted to, without using your hands?

p: When I was in second grade, we had naptime and I never wanted to sleep, so I used to just count. I got up into the thousands once.

d: is the glass half empty or half and half?

p: The glass is half full of half and half. I load my coffee up with half and half so hardcore. I don’t think Starbucks should charge me for a twelve ounce coffee if I’m going to pour out four ounces to make room for cream

d: guilty pleasure?

p: top40 pop house music. I love it. So catchy and fun.

When he’s not busy with his tour or not working on new tracks, he’s a very down to earth person with so much ahead of him. Let’s see what the future holds for this young lad.
